Surprise!

Hi Y'all!

Well we are still in the sunny south and enjoying it. Especially when we get weather reports from home. We have had a few days when it has been quite cool - but BOY! is that a relative term. When I use it, it means we weren't in the pool that day.

I wanted the kids to know that Gramma and Grampa visited Downtown Disney and we now have a good supply of pins for all!

I have been working on a baby blanket for my new grand-nephew, Kai. Isn't that a great name?
I can't wait to visit BC and meet both Kai and Natalya. She's going to be walking soon!

And now for the SURPRISE!!

I am very impulsive. On Monday I am flying to Ontario to surprise my grand-daughter for her fifth birthday. She is the only grandchild who has a birthday while we are away for the winter. I flew home for her birth, but this will be the first birthday party I've been home for. Jim and Missy will hold the fort in Florida - and get a break from me. I can't post this until I get there because I don't want them to see this and spoil the surprise. Besides, I'll have more pictures then. Wish me luck flying into Snow Country!

The Sunny South

Hi Y'all, We are in the sunny south near Dade City, Florida. The first 10 days we were here were glorious! Sunny, very warm - real pool weather! They keep the pool here about 85 degrees. Not too tough to take. The last couple of weeks have been a little chilly for the pool, but great for everything else.

Jim and I took in the big RV Show in Tampa. It's nice to dream. We are going to a big Model Train Show this weekend at the Fairgrouds in Tampa. That's where Jimmy can dream! We also have tickets to see Allan Jackson on March 2nd at the Plant City Strawberry Festival. Today we are off to St. Pete's for shopping and dinner out at a seafood restaurant we like. So we don't just do nothing and rest afterwards - but we do a lot of that too!

I am leading a Swedish Weaving class again this year. There are about 14 regulars every Wednesday morning. Lots of gabbing and socializing and some weaving too. My niece Kelly had a new baby boy in December and I'm working on a baby blanket to send him. Of course I'm still addicted to Genealogy and work regularly on that. We are having a Binkley Gathering of genealogists in Lancaster County Pennsylvania this May so all my data needs to be "cleaned up".
I am never bored.

We miss our usual travelling companions - Alice and Frank. They stayed in Arizona for this winter. But this is the second winter we have been in this park and many people have made us feel very welcome. There is even a couple from the same park we stay in near Paris Ontario who are full-timers too. There are lots of things going on here, but Jim and I pick and choose because this is our time to rest and recharge.

You won't hear a lot from me in the next couple of months because it is just same old - same old! Not much "exciting" to report. (I hope!) Our loved ones are all well. We miss them, but are in touch regularly. We would love to hear from you! You know you can add comments to this site, but be aware ANYONE can see them.

Catch you later!
